ToolWatch, a leading provider of equipment, tool, and materials management systems, has announced the release of a new version of its ToolWatch Field App that includes Field Requisition functionality. ToolWatch Field App communicates information directly to the award-winning ToolWatch Enterprise system, which provides powerful analytics, costing, and reporting capability.
“The ability to submit concise and accurate requisitions for equipment, tools, and materials to the warehouse from the jobsite with just a few taps on a smartphone or tablet will save field teams a significant amount of time,” said Don Kafka, ToolWatch founder and president. “Profitability in the construction, public utilities, and oil and gas industries is driven by productivity. With Field Requisitions, the savings across a large group of users can equate to hours each month — time that was previously spent filling out tedious paper forms or typing up email requests. Using that time to get more work done will pay huge dividends.”
The new Field Requisitions feature provides:
- ● One-touch requesting of equipment, tools, and materials
- ● Auto-generated warehouse Pick Tickets
- ● Draft capability for compiling a list before submitting
- ● Requisition status monitoring right from your device
“From tool tracking and management in the field, to warehouse operations, to financial analysis and reporting in the back office, ToolWatch Enterprise helps our clients excel in all phases of resource management,” said Ron Fish, product manager at ToolWatch. “Field Requisition capability makes the communication between field and warehouse staff even more seamless. And the low monthly subscription fee for the Field App is covered by time savings in a matter of days. Our clients are eager to implement the new functionality.”
ToolWatch Field App is compatible with iPhone, iPad and other iOS devices. An Android version will be available in March.
